With a modern chair lift, five new slopes and four tow lifts, the new area will be Branä's major investment in developing the facility. It will connect to the popular Mattesdalen and offer great skiing for all ages.
— We want to offer fun and undulating slopes with a variety of skiing that suits both big and small skiers. It will be Branäs next big ski area, says Anders Kjällström, CEO of Branäsgruppen.
If Branäs Syd had been a new, separate ski resort, it would have been among Sweden's 15 largest surface areas. The project is still in its initial phase and work on the new area is expected to continue in the coming years.
In Branäs Syd you will enjoy an impressive view and varied skiing where small sections of forest separate the slopes and create an adventurous skiing experience. Something that is unique about Branäs Syd is that they have been able to plan everything from scratch.
— We have been able to think completely freely and start from scratch, which has provided fantastic opportunities to plan a new large ski area where the heart is a large chairlift that connects the area with the rest of the facility. The new area will also offer magical skiing in a good location with an outstanding view over the river, says Anders Källström.
We continue to put families with children in focus and plan for new accommodation and a new center with associated facilities, such as a restaurant and grocery store next to the slopes. Here you will get a varied ride for all ages, where you can easily move on to other areas of the facility with the help of the new lifts.
